Security Risk Assessment (SRA) may be the most important step in the security process but always ignored.

No business, corporate facility, complex , house or individual property is absolutely crime-proof when professional criminals target it. But they would be the first to admit that you can discourage them if you are in control of your security. Security is knowledge.

THE WALK THROUGH ASSESSMENT

  • At the request of the client, our risk assessor will do an assessment of your property, discuss your lifestyle, and security needs with you, and based on the information you give us, as well as our own experience, we will suggest a plan of action.

  • We will review all activities on the premises, identify potential weaknesses and do a risk analysis.  Thereafter, we will recommend preventative or protective measures you may consider implementing

Whilst this is not the most comprehensive Security Risk Assessment, it does consist of four levels of analysis and is very cost-effective. This includes:

  1. Level 1 – Outside & Inner Premises, (Property line, Fencing, Walls):
This level is commonly known as the first line of protection because, ideally, this is where you want to stop a potential criminal. You don’t want to find him lurking around INSIDE your property.

  2. Level 2 – Area between Yard Fence, or Walls, and the Building (Parking, Garden, Courtyard and backyard):
Once a criminal has breached Level 1, your aim would be to prevent him from entering the building. This level would include parking and courtyard areas, which are often over-looked when it comes to security, as well as your front garden and back yard.

  3. Level 3 – Structure of House, Building/s and Office structure:
This level involves the actual building structure, including stairwells, balconies, patios etc. If a criminal gets this far, something is seriously wrong with the security measures you have in place.

  4. Level 4 – Inner Security of House, Building and Office structure.
And, of course, if you find an intruder INSIDE your home or office, you are now in very serious danger.  We would then question the reliability of your alarm systems, security gates etc.
We assess all four levels and advise on appropriate action to eliminate the threat at each level assessed.
